Still tooling around with ideas for an about page, here's what I have so far. I'm leaning towards the schizophrenic chaos of the first one, I'm not really sure a bio of characters really matters in my type of comic.

I want this book, bad. I have Von Glitschka's other book "Crumble.Crackle.Burn" which is a seriously amazing resource of textures that I use almost frequently to create brushes, etc. I love making patterns in Illustrator and I love working with them, so I can only imagine this book to be as good a value as "Crumble..."

Ah, a well deserved break. Although while I'm away from The Black Book, I'll still be plugging away at finishing up my freelance work. Also as an extra activity instead of putting out 2 comics this week for my flickr comic strip I'm working on a daily sequential called "Pariah", which revolves mostly around my experiences in my forest vacationland (read: home town). Also I'm happy to say that I sent out a couple of my sample books to publishers today, I will be published dammit!

Hey, my little books came in! Overall (being a designer in print production myself) I'm not entirely sold on the quality of the book. The pages are kinda thin and theres a QOOP and Flickr logo on t he back ( :( ). But all in all it will help serve as a promotional tool (and if anyone wants to buy it, it's 10 bucks!). I must get published!

I have just sent an order for ten 28 page, 7" by 5" books with a small collection of my comics in it to QOOP.com. this is really just a test run to see how they look when printed from a commercial site/if anyone will buy them/a way to weasle out of actually buying xmas presents for family.

The title of the book is 'Muse', stay tuned if you're interested in picking up one of these first run gems!

All of my comics and cartoons are based on true stories. That thing with the monkeys? It totally happened, I was there. And that skeleton playing guitar hero? That's me! I listen to a lot of death metal that's probably why most everyone I draw has no skin. Although I enjoy playing a few blapton solos for inspiration.

so today i look at the bottom of the paper bag the deli gave with my coffee, and i see a slab of cardboard, and i get to thinkin... so i cut it into sections and i've begun making little trading cards... lets see how this turns out.

Not really a good shot, but this is where all of my work gets done. ever since i got my macbook a few months ago it's been nothing short of great when it comes to working wherever i may roam (points for the metallica reference). the only problem though is that underneath my desk is a vast tangle of wires that i fear one day will burn me alive. until then though i'm looking forward to working for a long time on this tiny plastic wonder.

Colored. That's one of my fav sweatshirts. This was an incredibly busy week, so sat. night i really enjoyed my downtime by doodling scenes of monkeys vs costa rican drug lords and watching the worst movie ive ever seen.

i made some real progress though with the shelfmade splash page friday night. that should be going live as soon as i finish some last min tweaks.
